It’s no wonder our range of ethically sourced, stylish handmade leather bags look right at home here. And just like our handbags, totes, satchels, sports bags and weekenders, there really is something for everyone in NYC.

Winter brings its own beauty to Central Park, when the exposed grey granite providing the bedrock for New York’s surrounding skyscrapers becomes covered in January snow. Nature’s palette is reflected in the natural vegetable and mineral dyes we use to tan our Caladan bags like Aline, Bern and Coby.

The park proves that life in New York doesn’t always have to be lived at 100 miles an hour, but just a few blocks south and we’re back in the throng of the busy city where everyone young and old is on the move and has somewhere to go. Like hungry culture vultures we swooped down to MoMa and spent some time perched by Robert Indiana’s iconic pop art Love sculpture; its magnetism never fails to encourage complete strangers from the world over to stop, chat and smile together.

Our next stop Chelsea Market, where we spent a lazy afternoon in what is a genuine food lover’s paradise. Vibrant colours, authentic produce and enticing aromas from around the world are a feast for your senses and taste buds. We filled our Stockholm shopper full to the brim before heading outside and looking up at the High Line: weaving it’s way above the buzzing Meatpacking district, it’s a chilled place for friends and couples, joggers and tourists, and romantics like us!

All shopped-out and with the daylight fading fast, a sundowner at nearby Soho House was called for. You’ve gotta love this city!
